Lots and Lots of Love

Valentine's Day celebrations ran rapid for the Fey kids this year!
We had so much fun spreading the love!
Monday morning we had a big party with all of our playgroup friends.
(By the way, I found this playgroup through MeetUp.com.)

We had 28 kids at the party... and you would not believe
how wonderful all the kids played together.
It was an honor to be with so many well behaved kids
and amazing mommies!
Mike was the entertainment.
Adelyn just wanted to eat and go outside!
Here is all the Valentine bags lined up... so cute and so much fun!
After nap we hosted a playdate of our own for the neighborhood!
We swapped Valentines and decorated cookies!
Mrs. Pam our sweet retired neighbor made this yummy cake and
even brought her own Valentines to trade.
The kids loved it...
...even the big kids got into it!

The sugar crash was rough,
but boy oh boy did we have a great Valentine's Day!

Just in Time...

I still had glitter hearts for the dollar store left and we just can't have that... so I transformed our empty Christmas Hot Chocolate tin into this cutie pie!
Ya-ya I saved this... my husband thinks I am a hoarder,
but I consider myself more of a visionary!
We have 32 kids coming to our play group Valentine party... I have to get busy!

V-Day Cards With My Kids

We made our Valentine cards yesterday. This was Adelyn's first experience with one of mommy favorite things... stamping! See her face? She licked the stamp pad like a Bomb Pop in July before we even got started. But then, she got the hang of it and visions of mommy and me scrappin' filled my head! Wait! No licking OR eating mommy's stamps!
We stamped our background paper. I had lots of heart stamps to choose from!
Very busy and serious work...
Mike wanted his "Perfect" and had a pretty big list of who he was going to send them, too.
Addy's objective however, was to see how much ink she could spread around the house!
Then we added out doilies.
My favorite picture because it looks like they are working together, but in real life it was not so. Addy was grabbing and crinkling them... Mike was begging her to stop-lol. But us Fey girls have to touch and do it all ourselves!
Now to get them in the mail for the big day!

Sewing for my Lil' Love

I altered a little turtle neck for Addy. I added the yo-yo embellishments, ruffle cuffs and the ruffle bottom. I am so addicted to these yo-yos... here is an easy tutorial from a home town friend.
Addy was not returning the love to mommy when I tried to snap a picture. (Yes, those would be glitter flip flops she has on... unfortunately I think she has my fashion sense!)
Also, please ignore the background- and if you can't just remember this is not my house... I just live here!

A Little TLC

A little Valentine decor... Found this ugly thing at Marshall's for 30 cents! Don't worry I can fix you! It had a hole in the top and a nice bracket to hang it up. And I had some glitter hearts from the dollar store. (great score, huh?) With a little TLC it came out pretty... well, pretty.
I think it needs a little bit of...
sparkly blue ribbon on the heart...
better get some! giveaways

Shout Out To My Hubby

I happen to think I have THE WORLD'S GREATEST HUSBAND! and he needs to hear it... Thank you for making me laugh, holding me when I cry, and making feel like the only women in the world. Thank you for making such cute babies, being so hands on, and for being their role model. Thank you for all the cups coffee, hand holding, and secret winks. Thank for teaching me how to two step, encouraging me, and allowing me to be my true self. Thank you putting up with all the projects, crafts, and scrap booking. Thank you for taking care of the bills, the yard, the trash, the litter box, bath time, trimming the kids tiny nails, and the bathrooms (told ya WORLD'S GREATEST). Thank you for supporting our family and making us your top priority! and most of all... THANK YOU FOR PICKING ME!
And since he doesn't read the blog I am gonna print this post out and put right where he can see it... on top of the oreos! I am linking up to Courney's Valentine challenge... JOIN ME!

What a Sweet Valentine Day

What a wonderful fun filled Valentine Day the Fey's had... and mommy took lots of pictures for the Fey Family Fans (aka Lala and Aunt H.) Mommy's started at 5:00 when her newest Valentine woke up. It is rare she wakes up so early... was she just excited or cold or hungry or all of the above? The funny part was I was a bit grumpy until I set her in the swing and got this look... "Wait mom... let's cuddle!"
Sweet coffee starts the morning off right!
Mike took his Valentin Bag into wake up daddy.
As you can see the sunglasses, travel "coppee" cup, and Valentine I Spy book were much loved!
Daddy with his little Valentines.
Valentine Pancakes and apple bites! We tried making buckwheat pancakes to be healthier- no so good gals! What was I think... healthy pancakes? Yuck!
Mike still liked them.
Adelyn posed for some pictures. Man, she in one darling Valentine if I do say so! I just wanna blow this pic up into a poster or put it on a tee-shirt for myself because she makes me so happy! (Note: Mike would not pose)
So, I found this Thomas the Train helmet at goodwill for $3.50... Mike is once again obsessed... he wore everywhere. He calls it a motorcycle hat and he calls his bike a motorcycle... I don't think he is pretending it is a motorcycle- he really thinks the word bicycle and motorcycle can be interchanged- don't cha love that!
Riding his bike has been a bit of a challenge for Mike. Maybe we should have started with a trike... but he really has been working hard to peddle and steer at the same time. Adam helps by pulling a string tied to the handles.
He got really mad at me for interrupting his lesson. I kept saying "Look at mommy. Say cheese."
"No mama! No pictures. I don't want pictures!" So that was my last one.
But Addy wanted more pictures!
We all made pizza.
Even Adelyn watched.
Heart shaped pizza of course.
We decorated cookies for desert!
Yummy! Then is was the bedtime routine... bath, Thomas, books, and bed!

Let's go make something,

Kristy
