My Lovely Little Laundry Room

If you read my blog, then you know my struggles with laundry...
I hate it!!  I can't keep up and it NEVER gives up!
After months of pinning lovely little laundry rooms,
I convinced my husband that with my very own
lovely little laundry room all my
laundry prayers would be answered!
PLUS, it will help us take another step in feeling 'settled"- right?
He happens to be tired of having
to wear snowmen boxers...so we got to work!
It started with my $1.99 chandelier from Goodwill
and a coat of red spray paint!
And it worked!!

Next up, was this adding a counter top for
collecting folding laundry.

Then, this basket dresser that I had to have...
thanks again to pinterest!
Ana White has the instructions HERE.
I love this thing... We have plans
to make one for Mike's closet!
 And another pinterest inspired project!!
I combined the cheveron trend with some wordy art!

I used blue painters tape for the pattern
and modge podged on the letters!
I pulled a few pretty things out of old boxes...
since by this point my budget was down to nada!

One of my favorite changes, is the addition
of this shelf just above the washer and dryer.
We put cinder blocks behind them to prevent
them from rocking or moving backward...
thus allowing me to open my washer.
I made the pokadot curtain to cover... umm... crap!
I need one more panel to make it perfect,
but they have been sold out of this fabric for months!
I fell in love with this quote...
and you MUST check out Kelsey's site HERE!
She has so many wonderful and FREE printables!!

So, I know you are wondering if this make over worked...
did making it lovely really help all my laundry woes?
Hmmm... let's keep it real girls...

  1. Ha! Love it! It looks like it's time to spend a little time in your "happy place" - THIS happy place. It looks like it is being used though, so what else could you ask for?! And what's wrong with snowman boxers? I figure that no guy will want to court a girl (a different girl) with out of season underpants. ;)

  2. I lvoe it! The colors are amazing and I love that basket slide out dresser thing. I'll have to go make one of those. I wish our laundry room was bigger because I would love to have a place to fold. Hey! Maybe if you add a TV and a mini fridge with wine and Diet Coke, you'd be more motivated to do laundry....oh who am I kidding. Doing laundry stinks! Sometimes, literally. but at least you can do it in an awesome room!
