Strawberry Pickin'

We took a neighborhood field trip
to a local farm and picked strawberries!!
And yes, it was as fun as it sounds!
Here is the pickin' crew!

 And yes,
Adelyn had the perfect outfit for our event!

The kids went right to work...
it was such a fun activity for all ages.
I couldn't get over how pretty they were...
and later found out how sweet!
 Speaking of sweet...
here is my favorite picture!
These two really had fun and
may have picked more than the big kids!
Aww, I love this picture, too!
The berries were $3.50 a pound.
Our buckets would hold about 5 lbs...
so for around $15 you can pick alot of berries.
One thing that was kinda eye opening was
how much smaller these Farm Fresh berries are
compared to store bought berries...
It makes me glad we stick to organic fruit
and have such great local growers!

  1. Hooray for strawberry farms! And you didn't even have to get your cute shoes dirty!

  2. You're right Adelyn's outfit is the perfect outfit for strawberry picking. And I agree about the size thing with organic stuff. We're starting to switch over on some things and the size of the chicken breasts we got were so tiny compared to the non-organic ones. But way more juicy and tender.
